The Lady VIP's (Volunteers in Ponder) meet the last Monday of each Month at 7:00 p.m. at the Ponder First Baptist Church

The Lady VIP's are a group of women from in and around Ponder that volunteer their time and talents to raise funds for the Ponder Volunteer Fire Department and organize community events. They also fund a scholarship program called the Bill Deussen Fund. The Lady VIP's host both a Christmas and Easter celebration in the Town Park, Frontier Day in June, help with the Annual Ponder Pioneer Calf-Roping Rodeo and set aside four days a year to have an Adopt-A Highway project.

There are several different committees within the organization, each supporting an important element in the community. The Beautification Committee organizes the highway clean-up days and takes care of the landscaping at the park There is also a Service Committee, which works on welcoming packets for newcomers, and a Social and Education Committee, which plans all social activities and brings in educational topics for the meetings. All members belong to the Fund Raising Committee and the committees overlap and help each other.

The President of the Lady VIP's is Debbie Gustafson who may be reached at 940-479-0419 for information about becoming a member or activities the group is currently working on. The meetings are open and anyone is welcome to attend.
